Humaston Beach, Vero Beach
“10 best beaches for families in 2014”
“WHY LA TO VERO BEACH? IT’S PRETTY SIMPLE AND THE SIMPLICITY IS AMAZING.
I spent the better part of my life running around all different parts of the world. As a drummer and music producer, the idea of a long-term home was not something that worked for my career or for me. The simple month- to-month rentals and open leases made it easier to jump at the drop of a hat and lay my hat wherever the gig, recording or project was.
As I shifted more to production, I was able to be in certain places for longer and as the production went to consulting, I was able to connect with clients by phone or Skype very easily.
After a long 2014 summer being on the road doing a book tour for The Artists Guide to Success in the Music Business where I went to 63 cities in 73 days, the last thing I wanted to do was go back to Los Angeles. I found that even on the road, I was in touch with people and I was a point where I could keep in touch with out needing to reach a hand out for a handshake.
The idea of living in a place where I could walk on the beach everyday…
The idea of being in a place where I could be private and keep to myself…
The idea of working over the phone or over video…
The idea of planting myself and becoming part of a community…
Was very appealing and took over for me.
Of all the places in the country, I found Vero Beach gave me every thing I was looking for.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I miss the feel of NYC, I miss the restaurants of LA, I miss the Sushi up in Seattle and little bits and pieces from places around the country and around the world… but it still balances out and I have no intention of leaving Vero Beach.
While I still work with those clients who are located elsewhere, I want to bring some of my services to where I live now. It may take time, but I want to help the community that I want to be a part of… because…
This is my home and in many ways, this is my first true home in over 20 years. I can’t imagine ever leaving here.”
Who wrote this email?
It came to us from Loren Weisman, who moved here a year and a half ago from Los Angeles.
Loren spent 20 years as a drummer & music producer that turned in to a business advisor, speaker and author.
With deep experience in all aspects of the music industry, Loren worked on hundreds of albums as a drummer, producer and production consultant.
He also maintains TV production credits for three major networks as well as serving as a media consultant for many businesses in and outside of the arts and entertainment fields. Loren has stayed up to date with the constant changes in both the music and television industries over the past two decades as well as keeping up with the pulse and motion of content creation, marketing, promotion, and social media; thus affording the maximum promotional footprint for clients.
If you are an aspiring or even an accomplished musician, Loren’s book The Artists Guide to Success in the Music Business is a “must” read.
His book is about the “Who, what, when, where, why and how” of the steps musicians have to take to succeed in music.
According to Johnny Conga, an independent artist with Gloria Estefan, The Jackson 5, Gloria Gaynor, Paquito D’Rivera and many others, “One again Loren has brought together invaluable information for an upcoming or even an experienced musician…This book is a must!…You will learn all that is needed to help build your musical career or take it to the next level!”
“After 20 years in the music business and after relocating to Vero Beach,” said Loren, “I have decided to follow a different path and founded ‘levering smart,’ where our business is based on “branding.’”
“Businesses need to create/recreate a brand and find all the key words and business phrases associated with the brand so they can utilize them on social media and achieve the most and best results from search engines, especially Google. When someone searches for a word or phrase related to your brand you want your brand to come up first from the search engine.”
As an example, one of leveraging smart’s recent projects was to revamp the branding for the Di Mare Vero Beach restaurant on Ocean Drive in Vero Beach.
Now on You Tube if you search:
