Palm Bay City Council Election Night – November 2014
Left to right: Unknown, Councilman Harry Santiago, Councilman Jeff Bailey, David Isnardi, Councilman Tres Holton, James Marshall, unknown.
David Isnardi seems pretty psyched with his hand in the air. He became Palm Bay Assistant City Manager on April 27, 2015, four months later. Did he have an inkling he was going to get this job?
We posted the above on August 22, 2015, as one of several articles related to What’s Going on in Palm Bay’s City Hall? You can find these other articles by searching Palm Bay on our website.
As has widely been reported Former Palm Bay Deputy City Manager Dave Isnardi was arrested Friday morning, along with local businessman Jose Aguiar, after a several years-long investigation into “…an ongoing pattern of criminal activities,” according to the arrest documents.
What’s fascinating about this is how the arrests have hit the mass market. Marshall McLuhan coined the term “global village” bringing the world into one village through the use of electronic media.
Isnardi is charged with two first-degree felonies, each which carry potential penalties of 30 years in prison; and three third-degree felonies, each of which carry a potential five-year prison sentence. The affidavit also says the two planned to obtain illegal drugs to try to control and extort a second council member.
The second man, Jose Aguiar, a former candidate for the Palm Bay City Council, also was arrested Friday morning and charged with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.
The arrest warrants allege that City Councilman Jeff Bailey had an addiction to oxycodone and that former Councilman Tres Holton regularly had sex with prostitutes and used cocaine.
The two have been denied bail being held without bail due to the seriousness of the charges.
In terms of Mr. Isnardi hitting the mass media coverage, if you google David Isnardi Palm Bay, FL, at least 19 media outlets have covered the story.
