From a Facebook post by Brevard Indian River Lagoon Coalition.

GOOD NEWS: SEAGRASS STARTING TO SPREAD IN THE LAGOON!

St Johns River Water Management District reported on June 14, 2024, “Data collected in the summer of 2023 revealed an increase in seagrass extent since 2021…”

After years of decline, an increase of 2400 Hectares (6000 Acres) over the past 2 years.

The hundreds of restoration projects are beginning to Heal Our Lagoon. Thanks: St Johns River Water Management District (https://www.sjrwmd.com/waterways/renew-lagoon/), Brevard County Save Our Indian River Lagoon Plan (https://www.brevardfl.gov/SaveOurLagoon), the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Program (https://onelagoon.org/irlnep/) and many others!

It takes each of us. It takes all of us. It takes you and me!
