Green Your Yard – Plant a Forest, With Free Trees

The Indian River County Pelican Audubon Society has 1,000 new trees ready to plant this week!

“Green” your yard, plant a forest in your backyard, and replace grass to save water, and not use chemicals or fertilizers, as native plants can grow on their own, once started!

Please go and get a free tree for your yard at Pelican Island Audubon House, 195 9 St. SE (Oslo Road), Vero Beach, FL 32962. Schedule a pick up at 772-567-3520 or order on their website at PelicanIslandAudubon.org

Go to the Audubon House on Wednesday, Friday, or Sunday from 9-11 AM to get plants to enhance our environment.

Trees absorb CO2 to reduce global warming, they cool your house, and save our birds, fish, and manatees, saving money and precious drinking water while doing it!

New 4-5 ft cypress trees were generously donated by Cherry Hill Nursery. Come one, come all! Other trees, shrubs, and flowers available for $5.

The Pelican Audubon Society, to date, has distributed over 8,600 native plants and trees.
